Stag Profile: Gaz

Number 4 in a series of 11.

Gareth Williams hails from the little known Welsh village of Llnfrthrwphchwyr but now resides in London with his lover Bjorn and his poodle Brian.

Gaz has spent countless hazy nights with Tim, discussing major political issues, planning activist marches and deciding if wotsits are better than quavers.

A competitive natured gentleman (who will be seriously challenging for 5th place in the karting), Gareth enjoys a variety of sports including cycling, climbing and getting completely and utterly shit-faced.

A strange boy by all accounts but I guarantee that Mr Williams will be key to the success of the weekend; or he'll be asleep by half eleven, one of the two :-)

Stag Profile: Mick Pick

Number 3 in a series of 11.

Michael 'Jean-Luc' Pickard has been a good friend of Tim for many a drunken year. His travels up and down the country in search of night clubs to 'manage' have resulted in a voracious appetite for booze.

What Mick lacks in direction, he more than makes up for in apathy. Quite simply the easiest going guy you will have the pleasure of meeting; but get a couple of sambuka slammers down his neck and he suddenly becomes Insano Drinking Man :-)

Mick has already expressed a more than healthy interest in the karting on Saturday where he has stated (and I quote) 'I will win!'. This has ensured that he has inadvertently entered himself for one of the Georgie Bonuses available on this event (more details to come).

Mick is a core member of the Old Skool Stags and will be a serious contender for the Last Man Standing trophy.

Stag Profile: Fran

Number 2 in a series of 11.

Christopher Frankin is a man of many talents. Not only can he carry off startling impersonations of royalty and poplier singers but he also has one of the best Bowie voices this side of Garstang.

Kindly giving up his luxuriously decorated house to be the hub of activities for this weekend, Fran loves nothing more than staying home wiping his knob on the curtains whilst listening to his favourite band 'Five'.

Fran currently operates a bedroom timeshare scheme with Timothy (interpret that how you will) and frequently enjoys a cloudy cider or two to while away the evenings.

Potentially a favourite to win the karting on Saturday, Fran shows no fear on the circuit due to the fact that he can't see the apparent danger.

A solid Stag team member who will no doubt make the weekend one to remember.

Stag Profile: Ace

Number 1 in a series of 11.

Coming from a little known village of Durtfest just outside of Norwich, Mr Martin Raymond Alfred Skorge moved to Preston in search of musical fulfilment and flange.

After living with Fran and finding neither, he settled down with Claire to produce an empire of little Aces to look after him in his old age.

Martin enjoys a varied mix of strong ciders and lagers, resulting in him feeling poo-lie the day after and desirus of McDonalds.

He has spent many a night in philosophical discussion with Tim, mainly after a few of his 'Spanish' cigarettes.

A lovely fellow who will be an asset to the Stag team :-)

(Some of the above may not be accurate nor true)

Any thoughts, let me know.

Suggestion for Friday Night

Finally worked out how to use this fookin blog!
There is a comedy gig on at the poly on friday 27th April ( see link below)
We went a few weeks ago drinks pretty cheap, deals on pitchers and bottle of wine.
I saw the comedian supporting Dave Spikey and was pretty funny.

Boys, boys, boys....

I'm looking for a good time :-)

As most of you now know we have re-arranged the stag do location to Preston so that more people will be able to make at least some of the weekend.

Fran has generously given us the use of his fine abode as the base for the activities and also as accommodation for those coming from faraway lands.

I am currently getting together a list of activities (mainly involving booze) and will post on here sometime over this weekend.

The main activity I am trying to arrrange is some karting, most probably on the Saturday afternoon; so could I have a show of hands (leave a comment) who is interested so that I can arrange and book.

In addition to that, if anyone has any bright ideas regarding stuff to do (or that they would like to do) feel free to suggest.

Motherfucker, not only do I have to work on a Sunday, I now can't get that bloody PJ & Duncan song out of my head.

Watch us wreck the mic...

Following a structured argument from Mr Williams, I have come to the conclusion that we are going to go for the karting option as the activity (any objections?).

The last thing we want is another popular beat combo forming from a newcastle based paintballing accident type affair.

Psyche.

No Pussy for Tim...

Just had word from Mr Catterall and unfortunately he will not be able to attend the away day.

It clashes with his knitting class and he has an important dinner date on which he is hoping to 'get across' The Most Revd Dr. Desmond Tutu.

The Stags so far...

The list is growing and so far we have the following attendees :
  • Tim Tardy - would the real Tim Tardy, please stand up.
  • George
  • Gazzie P and the Hamster Massive
  • Franno 'Not in the Face' Franklin
  • Mick 'Mick Pick' Pick
  • Sarge a.k.a. Stan :-)

And to be confirmed...
  • Rob
  • Little Matt
  • Pussy

More news as it happens from the Spencer News Desk....

Organisation - It's a beautiful thing.....

Well here it is (finally I hear you all shout); the Spencer Stag Do preparations are underway. We have a short list of attendees, a potential venue and a selection of activities from which to choose. With such short notice, thanks to all those flexible people who have managed to free up the weekend and a boo to all those who can't make it - imagine that, planning three weeks in advance!

The news so far is that we are heading to Newcastle for the weekend (quayside hotel baby!) and will be paintballing, karting or going to the dogs (literally). Fran has requested to be left out of the paintballing in favour of several hours of self abuse at the hotel but I told him watching Bolton wasn't that bad.

This blog will chart the short progress to the weekend and provide a post-do report; well, of the events that are able to be published :-)
